Summary

This epic journey is her best chance to find the family she and her daughter long for。

Watkuese is desperate to return across the Rocky Mountains before winter sets in。 Time is running out for her to get her adopted daughter back to the familiar surroundings of the Shoshone village before the grief of her parents’ death causes irreparable damage。

Hugh Charpentier has spent his life watching over his siblings, which meant also ensuring his brother’s widow and babe are settled well into their new life。 Now he’s asked to help shepherd a woman and child he barely knows across the mountains。 As hard as it is to keep up with a six-year-old in the treacherous Rockies, it’s not nearly as dangerous as risking his heart to a woman and child who may not ever be his。

She leaves, taking her daughter with herNot her daughter by birth — but by love。 Going through the mountains by themselves, Until a guide she sort of knows decides he is going to help - and after loosing her daughter she is extremely grateful??? As always Misty brings the mountains, danger, love and God’s grace into an amazing book!!! I received a copy of this book from the publisher。 All thoughts and comments are my own。

Peace in the Mountain Haven, book 7 in the  Call of the Rockies series, is another great book by Misty Beller。 I really enjoyed Hugh and Watkuese's story。 In this series Misty has taken people from all walks of life and put them together in one big family。 Each book has me falling more in love with these characters。 They have become a part of my family, I love it when that happens。 Now, I'm ready for the next book。。。If you haven't read this series do yourself a favor and get started。 Peace in the Mountain Haven, book 7 in the  Call of the Rockies series, is another great book by Misty Beller。 I really enjoyed Hugh and Watkuese's story。 In this series Misty has taken people from all walks of life and put them together in one big family。 Each book has me falling more in love with these characters。 They have become a part of my family, I love it when that happens。 Now, I'm ready for the next book。。。If you haven't read this series do yourself a favor and get started。 。。。more

I loved going back to the Rocky Mountains and the future Idaho Territory with Watkuese and her adopted daughter, Pop-pank。 There are always dangers when traveling the Rockies in the early 1800s。 I was happy that Hugh and his brother, Louis, were able to discuss their past and find peace。 I received a complimentary e-book from the author。 This is my honest opinion。

Another good one! Peace in the Mountain Haven starts up right where the previous book in the series left off。 We get to learn more about Colette’s brothers-in-law, Hugh and Louis, as well as getting to dig deeper into the mind of Otskai’s cousin, Watkuese。 I found all of the characters and their journey back to Watkuese’s village both compelling and exciting。 There was a good mixture of giggles, tears, danger and sweet moments。 Overall, a very satisfying read that I am happy to have had the op Another good one! He was his mother’s son, not like his father。 Hugh and his brother Louis had been in the mountains since Louis was old enough to leave his foster home。 Promising to see Watkuese and her daughter to their winter home, they left their friends and started up the mountains。 Plenty of excitement follows with them including an unwanted liaison with a fellow Shoshone。 Will anyone be brave enough to step out and say what they really think and feel? This ARC of Book 7 in the Call of the Rockies series was He was his mother’s son, not like his father。 Hugh and his brother Louis had been in the mountains since Louis was old enough to leave his foster home。 Promising to see Watkuese and her daughter to their winter home, they left their friends and started up the mountains。 Plenty of excitement follows with them including an unwanted liaison with a fellow Shoshone。 Will anyone be brave enough to step out and say what they really think and feel? This ARC of Book 7 in the Call of the Rockies series was received through Misty M Beller Books and CelebrateLit。 These comments are my own and were in no way solicited。 。。。more

This is a neat story about an Indian maiden, Watkuess and her adopted daughter, Pop-pank, who are determined to return to her tribe on the other side of the mountains。 Brothers Hugh and Louis Charpenent, are asked to see the ladies safety through the mountains。 During the trip, Hugh and Wat Kuese develop feelings that turns into love by the time the trip is finished。 It’s a sweet story that holds your attention right up to a feel good ending。

We continue our journey in the Rockies with Watkuese and her daughter Pop-pank。 Watkuese is desperate to help her daughter find happiness again。 When Pop-pank lost both of her birth parents a few months ago she was given to Watkuese to raise as her own。 She thought leaving the village of Pop-panks people and going to her cousins village would help and it had some but now she is determined to take her back over the mountains to home。 Hugh Charpentier and his brother Louis have been in the village We continue our journey in the Rockies with Watkuese and her daughter Pop-pank。 Watkuese is desperate to help her daughter find happiness again。 When Pop-pank lost both of her birth parents a few months ago she was given to Watkuese to raise as her own。 She thought leaving the village of Pop-panks people and going to her cousins village would help and it had some but now she is determined to take her back over the mountains to home。 Hugh Charpentier and his brother Louis have been in the village for a few months now and thinking their former sister in law Collette is in good hands with French and they are going to set out again to do their trapping。 When they are asked to escort Watkuese and her daughter over the mountains Hugh really doesn't want to take on the responsibility but agrees because he worries for their safety。 He is drawn to both the woman and her child but knows he could never be what they needed but he will keep them safe。The journey is difficult and they have several setbacks along the way which gives both Watkuese and Hugh time to realize they care for one another。 It still isn't an easy journey and they will face even more dangers before they finally reach their destination。I love their characters and to follow on their journeys in the Rocky Mountains。 Times were hard back then and you had to be tough and have faith to get you through。 I received an early copy to read and review with my honest opinion。 I loved it and highly recommend it。 It is part of an ongoing series and I have loved each book and characters so I recommend you start at the beginning, but this can be read as a stand alone as it gives you enough background of the characters that you will know what is going on。 。。。more

Misty Beller knows how to write about adventure。 As Hugh is asked to ensure that Watkuese and her 6 year old daughter make it safely to their destination, he finds the young girl much more of a challenge than he expected。 At the same time he sees something very special in Watkuese despite not having expected it at all。Both Hugh and his brother, who is traveling with him, are wonderful characters and as they experience many hardships to overcome, you can see their personalities shining through。 T Misty Beller knows how to write about adventure。 As Hugh is asked to ensure that Watkuese and her 6 year old daughter make it safely to their destination, he finds the young girl much more of a challenge than he expected。 At the same time he sees something very special in Watkuese despite not having expected it at all。Both Hugh and his brother, who is traveling with him, are wonderful characters and as they experience many hardships to overcome, you can see their personalities shining through。 The entire series has been exceptional and this book is a wonderful addition to the previous books。 There was drama, action and romance as the book progresses。The author did an excellent job on this book。 And I am lucky to have an opportunity to read it!I received a copy of this book from the author。 All thoughts are my own。 。。。more

Amazing! I love how Ms。 Beller writes books that touch your heart! In this book we go on a journey through the Rocky mountains with Hugh and Louis as they take Watkuese and her daughter Pop-pank back to their village。 Pop-pank is only 6 years old but my goodness she is a handful for anyone to take care of especially with a bad habit she has picked up!
